I hoping to use this blog as a way to share my criticisms of the gaming world. At my age I am getting tired of reading game reviews that put more value on how realistic someones head detaches from their body then on how challenging it is to setup the shot. How graphics take priority over strategy. Reviews are written by people who can spend 12 hours a day playing them, using systems that require a small mortgage to own.
What about us "more mature" gamers who still sneak off for an hour or so to play our original X-box, but have to spend the bulk of their day at (gasp!) work? The person that bought the low end system because that's all they could afford, or who grabs games out of the discount bin. Where are the reviews for these people?
So this blog is for all you husbands, wives, nerds, geeks, and true gamers who put life, family, and career above gaming but who still love to play. For all of you who still own and original Star Wars figure, and who refuses to share them with your own kids. To all those who still have a D20 lying in the junk drawer, and who still find the best way to distress after a hard day at work is to grab a sniper rifle and plug some arrogant 12 yr old in the face.
